Caption｜I compiled this machine fable through a “machine-specific" approach, which modeled after a mini projector, to look into the psychological mechanisms of people’s expectation that machines can project their desire. The main character, Mc. Launch is a man who lives the daydream of “becoming a great golfer." A friend of his who owns an electrical appliance store is a descendant of Archimedes, the originator of mechanics. Back in the day, Archimedes used the principle of force to help people, while today the store owner helps Mc. Launch to make his dream come true. The store owner then recommended a projector endorsed by an expert in time and space, Doraemon. However, the machine projects the fact of Mr. and Mrs. Mcs’ precious son, Little Pony’s future: His generation will become the “Beat Generation." Mrs. Mc. is then outraged by the projection and breaks the machine asunder right away, yet Mc. Launch sees himself in the vision that he will become a great golfer in the broken machine. Whether it is a mediocre vision or a mind-blowing daydream, with my misuse of mechanics as a metaphor to weave my view of narrative and view of the machine, the story writes itself.
