This work centers on the theme of love, analyzing various phenomena in modern (urban) life. The former chapter serves as an introduction, depicting the anecdote of a master of pistol who roams the world without bullets. The following three acts explore the strange and wondrous facets of love in the city. The final play within a play adapts the “Light Cavalry Overture,” localizing the opera into a story about cavalrymen returning to their rural hometowns after romantic setbacks.
I adopt familiar visual elements such as bar charts, billboards, car windows, screens, speeches, and theaters as interfaces to create multiple possibilities for storytelling.
